The annual ICT4D Conferences have proven to be an invaluable opportunity for NGOs, private sector organizations, universities, governmental agencies and foundations to share their experience in using ICT to increase the impact of development programs and to learn from each other. In 2016, 715 individuals from 76 countries and 301 private sector and public sector and civil society explored the ways to harness the full power of digital solutions to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Robert Kanwagi is a Social Worker and Public Health Professional with 15 years of experience in developing and managing public health programs in Uganda, South Sudan, Sierra Leone and Ireland. Presently working for World Vision Ireland as a Programme Coordinator of the EBODAC project providing project management oversight and leadership in Sierra Leone and future selected countries. Robert’s areas of interest are reproductive health programs that are community based on targeting hard to rich populations in stable and fragile contexts. Robert was key in the introduction and integration of mobile technologies in World Vision Uganda’s country health programs and now the role out and integration of MOTECH in the EBODAC project.
