Bharat R Sharma has over 30 years experience in natural resources management research especially for surface and ground water resources, on-farm and rainwater management. His key contributions included improving large irrigation commands, assessment and management of groundwater in the Indo-Gangetic and Yellow river basins, impact of large inter-basin water transfers on regional resources, assessment and improvement of water productivity and ICT applications in water resources management. He has published and worked extensively in South Asian and East African countries.
